Crater Lake National Park
Crater Lake National Park (approximately 90 miles from Sunriver) is an incredible blue lake that sits in the crater of Mount Mazama, an ancient volcano that blew its top thousands of years ago. The crater gradually filled with rainwater and snowmelt, forming a lake with no natural inlet or outlet. In the summer, you can take a guided boat ride to Wizard Island or hike around the rim. In the winter, cross-country skiers and snowshoers delight in the views of the snowy lake. Stop in and enjoy a meal at the recently restored historic Crater Lake Lodge.
