COVID-19: TRAVEL INFORMATION
On May 6th, 2020 the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners announced that the restriction on short-term rentals would not be extended and can be found here. This means that travelers may now return to Sunriver and we are happy to welcome you back! All of our vacation rentals have been deep cleaned and sanitized in preparation for another amazing summer. Defeating this virus and minimizing its effect on our staff, guests and community is of the upmost importance to us and we will continue to do what is in our power to minimize its spread.
As of May 11, 2020, the shops at The Village at Sunriver have shared with us their intent on reopening on May 15th as well. The Village restaurants, however, will not be offering dine-in service but will continue to provide their delectable delights via take-out. As we get more information regarding local businesses reopening, we will share this information with you on this page.
We understand that there are some that may disagree with our decision to reopen on May 15th. As with our decision to shut down in March, the decision to reopen, was not made lightly. Tourism is the backbone of Sunriver’s industry and is extremely seasonal. It provides countless local jobs and enables small businesses to flourish both of which have been hugely impacted by the self-quarantine order. Some may not recover. Ultimately, the decision regarding whether or not to travel is your choice. For over 35 years Village Properties at Sunriver has been your trusted respite in the Sunriver community and if you choose to venture here, we want you to know that you will always have a clean and safe vacation home ready for you when you book one of our properties.

Safety Measures For Every Home
Your family and guests deserve the peace of mind that comes with a professionally cleaned home. This has been our standard practice for many years. Cleanliness equals protection and we are doing even more to ensure that you are protected and pampered by professionals. Our full-time, professional cleaning crew utilizes EPA approved chemicals before every visit giving you peace of mind that your rental home is safe and perfectly disinfected. We also wash all linens in commercial washers and dryers using high heat to kill any germs. Next, we follow specialized processes to protect our linens between transport from our commercial washing facility to your rental. As a final step, our professional inspectors follow our cleaning crew to ensure that every home is clean and ready for your family and guests to enjoy safely.
Before COVID-19 we offered our guests the convenience of contactless check in/check out and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. If you during your stay you find that you must stop into the office, rest assured that our office is also cleaned with EPA approved chemicals and we keep a bottle of hand sanitizer for your use in the reception area.
The majority of our homes have installed keyless entry keypads on their doors which ensures contactless check-in/check-out and limits surface contact with viruses by not having to take a physical key with you everywhere you go. The keypads are sanitized before every visit as well.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
Prior to COVID-19 a cancellation within 30 days of your stay would constitute forfeiture of your funds. However, we have adjusted our current policy in order to work with our guests to find the best possible solution for cancelling their vacation. Most have chosen to take advantage of rescheduling their vacation for dates later in the year that we normally would not offer discounts (such as rescheduling for a fall/winter 2020 or a summer 2021 vacation) while others have simply been given a full refund. We understand that these are unprecedented times and will continually monitor and adjust our policy to current events. We want you to know that we will work with you to find the best solution for your situation. Just give us a call at 888-236-9690 and one of our reservationists will gladly assist you.
Did you know that down 10% (of your total cost) is all that’s required in order to reserve your home and dates with us? The rest of the payments can be made on your schedule and when you are financially able to make them. We only ask that the vacation is paid-in-full 30 days prior to your stay. We understand that money is tight right now, but you also need to get away. If you find that there is a different payment plan that would work better for your finances give us a call, we are always willing to work with you.
