This is a MUST DO – most unique experience ! Pianist Hunter Noack will be performing in Fort Rock State Park on Sept. 9th.. Fort Rock is approximately 70 miles south of Bend on the Outback Scenic Byway. It is a massive volcanic tuff ring and is famous as the site where archaeologist Luther Cressmann discovered sage bark sandals dating back 9 to 10,000 years. You will be mesmerized by the sound of classical music wafting through the rock and surrounding desert landscape. Hunter Noack is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist who has won numerous artistic awards throughout his career . This is a Free event – Reservations are required and a $25 suggested donation will help support the project …Bring your own chairs or desert friendly blankets, hiking shoes, walking stick and a flashlight for hiking back to the parking area. This event is made possible by funding from the Oregon Community Foundation, philanthropists and partnerships with local state parks and businesses.
