Tamarack - Unit 8

Very nice, relatively modest home in a quiet part of Sunriver (except for the train going by nearby---but we slept through it after the first night!). There's a good assortment of dishes, glasses, pots and pans and baking equipment. Furniture is attractive and beds are comfortable. We were happy that although it's a pet-friendly place, there were no pet smells or damage. We brought our dog, and our family has allergies to cats, but no one was sneezing! If I owned the house I'd have the hallway/bedroom carpeting professionally cleaned, and would fix the front porch boards and paint the bench at the front entry to make it more welcoming. The back deck is a lovely place to read, relax or eat a meal. Vacuum cleaner needs its dust/dirt container emptied and cleaned, and the maid service should move furniture and thoroughly clean floor under couches, etc. Bike trail is right outside the house---proximity to the S. grocery store is great (easily visited by bike or walking). We are looking forward to returning to this rental home in the fall, we liked it and its location so much.

house was great, the hot tub was don't real clean water need to be better. needed to use bikes and the bike shops were closed

this house is very well kept up and in a great location. the rental company was easy to work with and responsive. some of the appliances are older, but all work. would be nice to have bikes instead of the owner locking them up! Could use a fun something in the garage- ping pong? foosball? overall nice but this would add value and make it really special.

We had a nice relaxing visit to Sunriver. The open floor plan was great for watching movies and playing games at the dining table. Also, we enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, however the lighting was not bright enough. ( it really needs to be fixed)

We loved all the seating even though only 3 of us staying in the home, it would be great for a large group. All the windows in the main living area were terrific. This home could definitely use some updating since it looks like it's stuck in the 1980s and maybe put in some cadet heaters in 2 bedrooms downstairs as they were super cold and running the furnace was somewhat noisy and didn't really heat those rooms very well. We felt the home was super clean upon our arrival. It was great they had 2 snow shovels as we ended up using them during our stay.

House was very clean and the rooms worked out great! My kids loved the bunk beds and hot tub the most. Living room was spacious.

We have rented this home three times, mainly because it's near a house owned by friends who are sometimes able to coordinate vacations with us. We like this house because it's pet-friendly too, with no dog or cat odors or evidence! The train runs by relatively close---maybe a quarter mile away, so we are often awakened in the middle of the night with train track sounds, but it's kind of soothing too. Sometimes we are awakened by owls or the sounds of deer bugling or wolves howling, depending on the season. Who doesn't love that? We find it wonderful. The furniture is comfortable, the deck is awesome, and the kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans and equipment for anyone who enjoys cooking. We love the location of this place since we bike ride two or three times per day and we like being a distance away from the Shark pool and the main shopping area. We can get there quickly by bike and also enjoy the tranquility of being "in the woods." My only complaint is that the house wasn't super clean. Some splashes of coffee or chocolate by the upstairs bedroom's wall by the stairs, dust bunnies under living room couches, plastic placemats not all washed after the last use, deck furniture not on the deck in April, so we hauled it out of the garage. Warning: upstairs "master" doesn't have a door! It's open to the stairs, and there's a wall of shutters on one wall, so there's not much privacy for whomever gets the master! The bed in the master is very comfortable, though, and the ceiling fan is great for comfort on a warm night. (Of course, the temp. goes down a lot in Central Oregon at night, so it's always very cool by the morning.)

The home was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. We cooked several meals there and found the kitchen was well stocked. Loved the kitchen sink. The deck was big and had plenty of seating. We didn’t find the little slide on the light switch in the kitchen until the day before we left so the can lights over the island were not too bright. Floors and countertops in the kitchen and bath are dated but everything was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
