Virginia Rail - Unit 11

We were suppose to come to Sunriver last year but due to the fires we had to cancel. But we got to stay this year, we did have to change houses but they just let me pay the difference. The place we stayed at Virginia Rail 11 was so beautiful. The first night though our garage door was not working but it was so late I called the next morning they were out within minutes to fix it. We had bikes to ride, hot tub, smart TVs, bbq, kitchen with every tool imaginable. I will be definitely coming back. Only downfall is after labor day they close the sharc pass areas.

As a grandmother, I like nothing more than to bring our family together to create shared experiences and memories. This house was perfect for us with 2 masters, 2 living rooms, and a large kitchen with a table that could fit us all. And best of all, my sweet grand dog was able to be with us. We were close to the river and bike paths. 9 thumbs up and 1 paw shake! We already booked for next year.

We have been coming to Sunriver for many a year now. While the family has grown, including a grand-dog, it has seemed to be difficult to find quality places - with AIR THAT WORKS! We stayed at Virginia Rail #11 and after driving almost 5 hours we walked into a cooooool 2 story house. We came during the huge heat wave that the NW has been experiencing this June. We slept very well in the coolness and breathed a sigh of relief as we know many a past rented house either did NOT have working air or it was super-controlled. Thank you Village Properties!
We also walked into a house that was super clean, even while open to dogs. A white rug(!?) greeted us and while our dog was very well behaved, sometimes others are not. Thank you for the extra work and effort to clean up behind the other renters with dogs. I know you get what you pay for things, but THIS house was certainly worth the few extra dollars. We will be coming back again.

Lots of space for our family to spread out. Kitchen is well appointed and the house is in a good location close to paths. Has a few upkeep issues. The deck is a great space but the wood is all chipping and splintered. Also a few windows that do not stay open and slam down. A/C was not working while we were there, so we needed to use open windows to cool it off at night. Could not use kitchen fan as it was covered in thick dust.

Our family has gathered in Sunriver for about 15 years. Being near the river is our favorite place. It was our first getaway since Sheltering in Place. Activities included walking, bicycling, and ordering pizza from Blondie's. Everyone was courteous as usual. Accommodations were 5 star. We chose not to swim this time. We would recommend this property!

After being moved from the original rental (due to items in the home not working), the 2nd home was excellent. Very much appreciated your group providing that as an option. Home was terrific, unfortunately due to the smoke everything was shut down, we only stayed 2 of the planned 4 days.

We were happy with our stay here and loved being so close to the river. The sleeping options were more numerous than I expected from the description and this home was very spacious for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The gaming tables in the garage were a happy surprise and the bikes that were working were used many times. The quiet circle driveway gave the kids a safe place to ride when we weren’t on the bike paths. The kitchen was stocked well with more spices available than usual, and plenty of dishes.

We loved the huge windows looking out at the tree tops with glimpses of the river, the large indoor and outdoor dining tables, the large kitchen and two living areas. Plus lots of seating in the main living room upstairs.

The only negatives were the non stick pans were worn out, one of the coffee maker’s didn’t work, we never found a way to turn on the gas fireplace and my kids said there was animal hair in the house. (We had a crawling infant). Though this is not a reflection on this house, we were never able to secure a reservation to use use a pool. (Covid related reservation system)

We would stay here again, it’s a great house.
