Welcome to the cabin in the woods. 16 Modoc is a comfortable 3-bedroom 2 bath cabin located on the North end of Sunriver nestled within the pines. This cabin is perfect for multi generations, including air conditioning, recent renovations in both bathrooms, a private hot tub on the back deck, and a wraparound porch.

The vaulted ceilings and numerous windows flood this cozy home with natural lighting, inviting you to come together and escape from your every day in this peaceful retreat. The living room provides cable TV and ample seating so you and the family can cozy up and watch a movie after a long day of exploring Sunriver and Beyond. At dinnertime, the chef in your group can take center stage from the well-stocked kitchen newly upgraded with brand new appliances. The dining room can comfortably seat up to 6. The cottonwood grocery store is located .6 of a mile from this cabin.

When it’s time to rest for the evening the loft primary ensuite encompasses the entire second floor of this home and is filled with all the retreat conveniences you’d expect. An exceptionally inviting king size bed, a view from the bench seat windows looking out towards the pines and ensuite bathroom.

The rest of your party will love the bunk room with sleeping for 4 and a third private bedroom with a queen bed. Also located downstairs is the washer and dryer, and a second bathroom.

By day, you’ll love sipping your morning beverage from this covered wrap around porch that accommodates multiple seating arrangements. By night, you’ll find yourselves gravitating to the partially sunken, private hot tub perfect for star gazing!

Regardless of your reason for coming to Sunriver, 16 Modoc is sure to be your new favorite place to vacation.

This home is near an active railroad. Trains rarely blow their whistle in Sunriver and average trips through Sunriver are 2-4 times per day.

Top of the list: this pet-friendly home did NOT smell as such. It smelled fresh & clean without any “dog” smell. We originally booked this place when our dog was still alive, but sadly she passed before our trip. We decided to keep our reservation anyway, & crossed our fingers that it wouldn’t have a pet smell. I’m glad we did - it was cozy, had a nice layout that worked well for our family, clean sheets/towels, and almost NO pet hair seen anywhere. Only a couple small faded pet stains on carpet (maybe get an area rug to cover?) The loft area gets a bit hotter in summertime - only 1 AC vent up there, but there are a couple of fans available & ceiling fan to help circulate the air as much as possible. On a 90 degree day, we slept with just the sheets on (blankets pulled back) & slept comfortably. Quiet area. Clean garage with ping pong table, bikes, & firewood for the fireplace inside. We’d love to stay here next year for our annual Sunriver trip & plan on booking it again! Thank you!

This house is in a nice location and has a nice layout. Unfortunately it looks like some of the house has been updated while ignoring the rest. The flooring in the kitchen/living space looks new and is lovely. The carpet in the rest of the house looks old and is well overdue for replacing. The cabinets in the kitchen need replacing. We struggled to open the sliding door every single time. It has to be wrangled. The furniture is probably the biggest problem. Long past due to be replaced in the living area, cheap uncomfortable chairs and a very old, used couch. Not comfortable and not enough seating for our family of 5. Lastly, the mattresses on the set of bunk beds need replacing. When you lay on the beds you can feel every single wooden slat underneath. We had to move the mattresses to the floor to sleep. We have stayed in a lot of houses in Sunriver and this one is subpar. It just needs some love!

Our stay was a planned relaxing stay after my daughters competed in the Olympic Trials in Eugene. The unit had a hot tub that was awesome and we spent a day floating in the cool waters of the Deschutes River. We didn’t use the Sunriver cards because we couldn’t figure out the system. Wherever we tried to use them they said that they either don’t take them or have never seen them before.

This was the perfect place for the four of us and our furry golden too! We loved the coziness of the space. The living room was snug for us all to get comfortable. A corner sofa vs a loveseat would make it more comfortable for 4 or more people. We enjoyed having a fire in fireplace and large dining table! We used the tandem bike, but would recommend new tires. We loved using the Sunriver paths! The basketball hoop was nice to have for our boys. We took advantage of sitting outside and loved the quiet loop - very peaceful! This house was a good fit for bringing a dog — they even had a treat, dog bowl and poop bags which was a sweet surprise upon arrival!
