Cozy cabin nestled in a great part of Sunriver and a huge plus that the home is pet friendly and has a dog crate in the garage already. Nice big hot tub on the back deck that we were able to enjoy each night as well. Our family enjoyed our stay start to finish.

Beautiful location and meticulously clean home. Well stocked kitchen. The common area was our favorite space. Kitchen and bathrooms are dated but functional. Minimalist in terms of decor and amenities but again, very functional space for a family. We had a great stay.

A little sad that the full time residents are not being held to the high standards that we so much appreciate about Sunriver.  Other then the really loud circulating pump on the hot tub we always enjoy our stay at #8 Tamarack and others we have arranged through Village Properties.

I'm probably juding this house too harshly but we have been going to the same house for close to 7 years but it recently sold and we are having to find a "new to us" Sunriver Vacation home. 8 Tamarack was a decent hosue overall but I was left wanting more.  It was not as clean as I would have hoped for, or what I expect.  There was ALOT of pet hair on the furniture.  We had a lot of allergies happen in the 4 days we stayed here...even though we are dog owners, so it wasn't super clean.  It was a loooong bike ride (15-20 mintues) to the village but we managed.  It is a short bike ride (5-7 mintues) to the north store and the tennis courts by the north sotre, so that was a bonus.  I appreciated the big dog crate and we used it for our dog the whole time we were there; especially on those long bike rides.  I liked the quiet neighborhood but it was just too far away away from the village for our liking.  The beds were comfortable but I did see a lof of per hair, which was a bummer.  If you are not a clean freak, and if you are not bothered by a very tong trek (up and down many hills) to get to the village, and you are not bothered by a "meh" interior then this may be the house for you.  It is pretty dated inside but overall OK. This house is lacking the "IT" factor or any "WOW" details besides the gas fireplace and some cool beams and vaulted cellings.  All the couch pillows need updating.  The towels were rough as sand paper.  It was not advertised that there were beach towels in the cabinet over they dryer for pool/hot tub so I did laundry and no one wants to do THAT on vacation.  There was not one brochure/menu of the resturants in the village which I was missing from having that in our previous house.  We plan to keep looking.  It was close but not "The ONE" yet.  We still had fun! -Vrbo Review

We have rented this home three times, mainly because it's near a house owned by friends who are sometimes able to coordinate vacations with us. We like this house because it's pet-friendly too, with no dog or cat odors or evidence! The train runs by relatively close---maybe a quarter mile away, so we are often awakened in the middle of the night with train track sounds, but it's kind of soothing too. Sometimes we are awakened by owls or the sounds of deer bugling or wolves howling, depending on the season. Who doesn't love that? We find it wonderful. The furniture is comfortable, the deck is awesome, and the kitchen is well-stocked with pots and pans and equipment for anyone who enjoys cooking. We love the location of this place since we bike ride two or three times per day and we like being a distance away from the Shark pool and the main shopping area. We can get there quickly by bike and also enjoy the tranquility of being "in the woods." My only complaint is that the house wasn't super clean. Some splashes of coffee or chocolate by the upstairs bedroom's wall by the stairs, dust bunnies under living room couches, plastic placemats not all washed after the last use, deck furniture not on the deck in April, so we hauled it out of the garage. Warning: upstairs "master" doesn't have a door! It's open to the stairs, and there's a wall of shutters on one wall, so there's not much privacy for whomever gets the master! The bed in the master is very comfortable, though, and the ceiling fan is great for comfort on a warm night. (Of course, the temp. goes down a lot in Central Oregon at night, so it's always very cool by the morning.) - Alison H. from Spokane
